I suppose it all started in high school. At the ripe old age of 14 I discovered punk music, which in turn made me a very angry and disorganized teenager. However without the daunting questions, like “ahhhh why is the world so fucked up?”, I would have never gotten to where I am today. I became increasingly interested in food related issues (probably due to my Italian upbringing......“MANGA MANGA!”). I became a vegetarian, followed by a short stint as a nagging vegan. I later started volunteering on organic farms, which mostly ended with little learning and far too many peace and rainbow themed songs. And now, finally, I think I’m going to be doing something relatively substantial and educational. Tomorrow I start an internship in New Brunswick (3 months) and Cuba (5 months) as an organic agriculture facilitator. I still have little idea of what that actually involves, but as an enthusiastic amateur organic farmer I want to share everything I learn with you. So here we go......
